Dr. Carl Clark is a biochemist adrift in a world of philosophical and theological thought. After three decades dedicated to medical research and biotechnology, he tries to understand the convergence of God and science. His journey leads him to ponder questions such as: Is our existence dictated by random quantum events, or is a higher power in control? What is the nature of the fundamental building blocks of matter? What is the essence of energy? And most importantly, why are we here?
